An AFR snapshot our our time at the Audi Hamilton Island Race Week with the wonderful team from the Queensland Institute of Dermatology.
As big fans of this amazing regatta we were honoured to be invited by the Oatley Family to run a free skin check clinic on Front St. Over a week or so we checked close to seven hundreds sailors. A huge feat by a superbly dedicated team. And thankfully we did… Out of that number we found 532 suspect lesions – with over 75 confirmed cases of skin cancer and melanoma. It was a superbly successful mission. We even checked Prince Frederik of Denmark! This article appeared in the paper before the big event and get huge coverage with business leaders and many sailors travelling up to this magical paradise. Something we’d love to build on for many years to come.
