King O’Malleys is proud to continue the tradition of celebrating Canberra’s best beards since 2012

Location: King O’Malley’s Irish Pub, 131 City Walk, Canberra City
Time: Doors open at 4:00 pm, judging from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, presentation at 8:00 pm
This year’s event is set to be the most exciting yet, with beards from all over competing for the grand title. competition participants will be judged by a panel of esteemed beard experts, including returning judge John Ainley, known for his “spectacular length and very thick moustache.”

- Longest beard
- Full beard
- Sharpest beard
- Antarctic beard, and shackleton beard
These two special categories feature entries from bearded men who have sent their photos all the way from Antarctica, showcasing the resilience and ruggedness of their facial hair in one of the hardest climates on earth.
Grand prize: $500 cash for the overall best beard category.

Special features:
- In addition to the competition, there will be a skin check van stationed outside the pub, offering free and private skin checks to participants and attendees. This initiative aims to promote skin health awareness, particularly important for those sporting beards.
