Each appointment is approximately 15 minutes depending on your skin cancer risk and number of suspect lesions. Please arrive at least ten minutes early to make sure we stay on schedule. And if you’re late… well it’s best not to be because we’ll have to cancel your appointment.
A skin check is a thorough examination of your skin for any sign of precancerous or cancerous lesions. As part of this process you will be asked to undress, keeping on your undergarments. The Nurse will then check your skin completely, using a magnifying device called a Dermatoscope. Lesions that may require monitoring will be photographed, for reassessment or treatment with your GP or Dermatologist.
Our clinic will be located in the Robert Oatley College on Front St. Right near the bakery and cafe. Just head upstairs where you’ll be greeted by our concierge team.
Each skin check is conducted by a highly qualified nurse dermoscopist. Which means the early detection of skin cancer is their primary career focus. They’re professional, friendly and trained to guide you through the skin check process in the best possible way.
