It’s no secret that sailors spend a tonne of time in the sun. Which means they’re a lot more at risk of skin cancer. Thankfully, this’ll be our sixth year attending one of the world’s most loved regattas. Providing free, educational skin checks with our professional team of nurse dermoscopists, saving so many lives from our ‘national cancer’.
To book in, simply tap the button below to select a time, enter your details, sign an acknowledgement form and set up your profile. The platform we use is called MoleScope, which is totally free. So please follow the prompts to create your account, or if you’ve been checked with us before, simply log back in with the email you used last time:
This process might take a few moments, but by doing so, our team will be able to access your details, take clinical images of suspect lesions, add them to a 3D map of your body and record an initial diagnosis if we find anything which requires further action. You can then bring this report to your GP for a biopsy or treatment. If you don’t have access to this level of care, a Skin Specialist GP from Airlie Beach will be working in our clinic from Thursday to Saturday to look after you if needed.
Once you’ve made your appointment, we’d love you to complete a quick survey to gather important data about your skin and sun safe behaviour. This will help our charity improve our case for the government to fund this important work, while providing you and our practitioners a really good insight into your skin cancer risk.
ONCE BOOKED, PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SURVEY:
Full body skin checks like this can typically cost hundreds of dollars – with wait lists well over three months. So, you’re very lucky to have this opportunity (totally free) in such a convenient, warm and welcoming environment. If you’d like to make a donation so that others less fortunate can have the same experience, it’ll be very much appreciated.
